Tech. Sgt. Christopher Jose Pentecostes, 34, an Airman assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Roveredo in Piano, Italy on January 5th.

“Chris, or ‘Penny’ to his friends, had a rare compliment of intelligence and humility, and a sincere heart that made him very special to those of us who knew him,” said Lt. Col. Christopher High, 31st FW inspector general. “We remember him as a trusted professional in the Command Post and as a Wing Inspector who we could always count on to teach, train and make those around him better. Penny had a limitless supply of energy and friendship that he shared with others every day, and he always made everyone around him smile brighter and laugh harder. We mourn the loss with his family and we will all miss him dearly.”

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by Italian authorities.
