This page was created to keep all Air Force and Space Force riders informed on the most current Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force Instructions and provide managers of motorcycle training programs and Unit Motorcycle Safety Representative (MSR's) an avenue for advertising service sponsored motorcycle trainer training workshops.

Through education, accountability, regulatory guidance, and proactive management, the Traffic Safety and Outreach branch strives to eliminate preventable vehicle mishaps and protect our most valuable resource, our people”.

Before riding, every DAFRider should be physically capable, mechanically sound, in a riding mindset to internalize safe riding, and mentally prepared to mitigate risks inherent to riding a motorcycle.

The list of Authorized Traffic Safety Courses are available on the Occupational Safety SharePoint site which is CAC enabled.

To improve road safety, DAF Safety is using the Motor Vehicle Awareness Survey to understand driving attitudes and identify vulnerability trends among Airmen and Guardians. This data, collected during the 101 CDS campaign, will inform targeted accident prevention strategies. The survey results will be included in the 101 CDS Final Report.

The Motorcycle Unit Safety Tracking Tool (MUSTT) was designed to provide training data for the Department of the Air Force motorcycle riders and fill the requirements for monitoring both rider demographics and training outlined in DAFI 91-207, U.S. Air Force Traffic Safety Program. With the data collected the DAF can make informed decisions on what guidance changes need to be made to keep Airmen and Guardians safe while driving a motorcycle and what training each rider has received.

Building Mentorship Programs

17 Exercises and 52 discussion topics based on the needs of the group
Done in flat areas with open space (parking lots suggested)
Mentor coach cards and cones will be issued/used
Mentors can choose small groups to focus on specific exercises
Not all exercises need to be performed in each session
