The Air Force Safety Center (AFSEC) now offers free, online course materials. Computer-based training, study software for Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Safety Career Development Courses (CDCs) and materials for resident courses are found at the AFSEC Safety University website on the Air Force portal.

AFSEC uses staff expertise to ensure the highest quality safety education is provided online and in-house, and that students are challenged to use the knowledge at their home stations.

The curriculum available on the Safety University portal website provides educational tools and safety tactics and techniques. Availability of the materials can help reduce the number of safety incidents Air Force wide by allowing greater dissemination of safety education to Air Force safety professionals.

According to Maj. Gen. Kurt F. Neubauer, the Air Force chief of safety and Air Force Safety Center commander, the safety of all Airmen is of utmost importance and is crucial to the success of the Air Force mission at home and abroad.

"It's a privilege to lead our Air Force safety professionals who provide top cover to safeguard our Airmen," Neubauer said. "Our Air Force safety ethos is absolutely vital to our mission and to preserving combat capability."
