NYANG firefighters conduct joint search and rescue training
The 109th Fire Department's urban search and rescue team and 109th Vehicle Maintenance Flight return to Stratton Air National Guard Base on Oct. 22, 2015, from Camp Smith, New York, where they met up with the 106th Rescue Wing and 105th Airlift Wing to conduct a three-day joint search and rescue training exercise. The 109th USAR team, the lead within the New York Air National Guard, is currently the only self-sufficient fully capable mobile unit in the Air National Guard.
