23d CES gives runway a facelift
A contractor places a stencil to paint a designated parking sign for the 41st Rescue Squadron Aug. 15, 2020, at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Airfield management, civil engineering and partnering contractors annually remove rubber and repaint Moody runways and signs to ensure safety and compliance with Air Force standards. Approximately 480,000 square feet of rubber was removed from the runway and approximately 471,532 square feet of paint was applied to the runways, taxiways and designated aircraft parking areas.
