Remembering fallen Yukla 27 crew
A U.S. Air Force Honor Guard member renders a salute in front of the individual memorial of one of the lost crew members at the Yukla 27 25th anniversary memorial ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 22, 2020. Yukla 27, a U.S. Air Force E-3 Sentry airborne warning and control system aircraft assigned to the 962nd AACS, encountered a flock of geese Sept. 22, 1995, and crashed shortly after takeoff on a routine surveillance training sortie, killing all 24 Canadian and U.S. Airmen aboard.
