U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Jeannie Leavitt, Department of Air Force Chief of Safety and U.S. Air Force Maj. Gordon Blair, 512th Rescue Squadron Assistant Operations officer, walk to the flight line at the 58th Special Operations Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., Feb. 15, 2022. Leavitt was briefed prior to touring the 512 RQS and co-piloted a UH-1 Huey flight. Leavitt is responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of all Air and Space Force aviation, ground, weapons, space and system mishap prevention and nuclear surety programs to maintain combat capability.
