Yokota enhances flying mission with breathing simulation device

Maj. Joseph Teodoro, 374th Operation Support Squadron airspace physiologist, reacts to the condition of hypoxia while demonstrating the Restricted Oxygen Breathing Device at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Nov. 22, 2022. The ROBD is paired with a flight simulator that can mimic the functions of multiple airframes, from a C-130H Super Hercules to an F-16 Fighting Falcon, to give pilots the ability to experience hypoxia with a familiar setting.
