ADAZI, Latvia – Pfc. Naomi Ross, cook, Hound Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, prepares corn for Thanksgiving dinner, Nov. 21, 2016 at Camp Adazi, Latvia. The culinary team of paratroopers assigned to 2nd Bn., 503rd Inf. Regt. and 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, prepared Thanksgiving dinner for over 600 hungry soldiers, including allies from the Latvian Land Forces Infantry Brigade. The “Sky Soldiers” of 2nd Bn., 503rd Inf. Regt., are on a training rotation in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region. The 173rd Airborne Brigade, based in Vicenza, Italy, is the Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, and is capable of projecting forces to conduct a full range of military operations across the United States European, Central and Africa Command areas of responsibility within 18 hours. The U.S. and partner nations conducted land, sea and air exercises and maintained a rotational presence in order to reinforce NATO security commitments in Europe. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
