Birdwatchers return to Laughlin

U.S. Air Force student pilots from the 47th Flying Training Wing conduct a preflight inspection on a T-6A Texan II at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, May 4, 2025. This image was used in the “Birds vs Aircraft” graphic, which raised awareness of the Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) program. The program reduces bird strike risk by managing airfield habitats, forecasting bird activity, and coordinating with aircrews in real time. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Keira Rossman)
