8th MXS innovation creates a safer Kunsan
Airman 1st Class Dominic Varoz, 8th Maintenance Squadron aircraft metals technology journeyman, uses a specially fabricated hook to lift a custom built railroad track cover at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, June 17, 2025. In addition to developing the custom track covers, the aircraft metals technology section designed a hook tool that can be inserted into the track grip holes allowing safe positioning during installation and maintenance.
