OSHA's Top Ten Cited violations

The graphic above shows the top 10 most cited violations in 2024. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act) was passed to prevent workers from being killed or seriously harmed at work. This law created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which sets and enforces protective workplace safety and health standards. OSHA also provides information, training, and assistance to employers and workers. Under the OSH Act, employers have the responsibility to provide safe workplaces.

Fall Prevention Tab

The Department of the Air Force created the Fall Prevention page to coincide with OSHA's National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls. Each year falls from elevation continue to be the leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 421 of the 1,075 construction fatalities recorded for 2023.
