Kirtland Air Force Base -- This year continues to bring the Department of the Air Force new challenges. Thank you for keeping us safe, healthy, and mission capable by adjusting to pandemic-related changes, natural disaster impacts, and other threats.
While continuing to meet these new obstacles head on, safety remains a concern as familiar risks still lurk. This time of year, we see a rise in automobile accidents and injuries due to increased time demands, distractions, longer periods of darkness, and alcohol consumption. Throughout the season, take precautions to protect yourself and keep your family safe by assessing and planning your holiday celebrations carefully.
Our hope is that you use the holidays to relax, recharge, and celebrate. While doing so, we urge you to remain vigilant to prevent the spread of coronavirus, both in the workplace and home. Continue practicing good hygiene, social distancing, and other health protecting measures outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Please visit the website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html for details.
We wish you a happy 2020 holiday season.
