The summer issue of Wingman magazine, currently available at  www.wingmanmagazine.af.mil, is the final issue of the Air Force's quarterly journal of aviation, ground, space and weapons safety, according to Safety Center officials.

The safety stories that would otherwise go in the magazine will now be available on the Safety Center's website at www.afsec.af.mil.

Maj. Gen. Greg Feest, Air Force Chief of Safety, emphasized readers will get the same quality of information, and they will get it faster for greater impact.

"We're finding more and more people are going to the Safety Center's website for their safety information," Feest said.

"We get great material regularly from the field," Feest said. "Much of it contains incredible lessons learned that need to be shared with our readers sooner to help reduce mishaps."

Readers can still access the magazine archives from the Center's website. Wingman magazine has been in publication since 2008 and resulted from the merger of Flying Safety Magazine, Weapons Journal, and Road and Rec into one magazine. Air Force safety has produced safety publications for more than 60 years.
