The Crash Lab at Kirtland AFB, NM is a hands-on training facility used in conjunction with safety courses conducted at AFSC. The site exhibits damaged aircraft from Air Force and other DoD mishaps, various engine parts as well as motor vehicle accidents. Students in the safety education courses receive classroom and field instructions with exercises at the Crash Lab reinforcing investigation techniques learned in the classroom.
